Apathetic cashier refuses to help

I went to Reggie's to search for a specific item that I wanted to give someone as a Christmas gift. When asking a sales assistant if they had the item, I was informed that they did have it, but it was in storage and would take a while to find. They advised me to leave my details so that I could be contacted when it was found. Compliments the young man who helped me, as he had found the item and contacted me that evening.<br> <br> I drove back the following day specifically to buy the item, but the young man was not there. Instead I asked the cashier. The store was very quiet. Putting in the least effort, all the woman did was move some papers around and look inside a cardboard box before she told me with a bored expression \I can't find it". Then she told me to \""come back tomorrow\"". I explained that I was going on holiday the next day (and would not be prepared to come back a third time anyway as the item cost less than the petrol)"
