Regent Insurance makes it impossible to cancel it's cover -- stay away!

I've had invalid scratch and dent cover of R99 go off on my bank account since August 2017, even after my first attempt at the end of July and two subsequent attempts via the call centre.

In all three attempts I was told that the cancellation request was successful but the debit orders persisted. And on the last attempt I asked for the cancellation email, ********** which I emailed on the 30th of March -- still no communication and the money keeps going off my account.

I don't even have a car anymore and I've never claimed on the policy. A total of R891 (R99 * 9 months -- Sep to May) has been taken off my account in error so far.
