Only paying half my claim due to phony reasons. What the hell?

Kindly refer to my claim CMC090234.

I forwarded two claims for a scratch and dent policy I have with Regent.

I received 1 approval 10 days after submitting my quotes and supporting evidence and then Regent only authorises half the amount I am covered for. When I contacted them they sad they are not paying out the full amount because "stone chips" are only covered 50% hence they are only paying out 50%. This is absolute nonsense. I want an inspector to come see my car and tell me how a stone chips the back of my car. I also sent more photos which clearly shows the SCRATCHES I claimed for. It seems Regent is looking for any and all reasons not to pay out your claim.

My policy clearly states I am covered for R4000 per incident and not R2000. What is the point of having this policy is these guys are just looking at reasons not to pay you.

I called Regent and the girl I spoke to Sunaina Jeram who was clearly acting on advise of her supervisor said that the supervisor advised her that this is their policy. I then asked for this policy for my records as I have not received such a document from Regent. They haven't sent it to me yet as they mentioned yesterday over the phone. They also do not respond to emails of me asking for feedback.

It is the 2nd bad experience I have had with these guys.

Also I have not heard anything regarding the status of my 2nd claim.

People beware of Regent. They gladly accept your premiums but they try their best not to honour their side when you claim.

Terrible institution.
