3rd party Claim

I instituted a 3rd party *** with Regent after a vehic (VW Polo belonging to Lindsay Saker VW Midrand ) insured by Regent crashed into my car resulting with a major damage on my vehicle, a Mercedes Benz Sprinter. The Accident Report shows that the driver of the VW crossed a barrier line and crashed into my vehicle. Now Regent decides not to pay because they say that their client doesn't accept liability/wrong doing even when the AR shows he was travelling in a wrong lane, and thats were the point on impact is. and also because there were no witnesses. Also the AR shows that the driver of the Polo dissapeared from the scene after the accident and did not give his statement.

How can Regent expect their client to just say: Yes I did, Yes I was reckless, Yes I was wrong and most probably speeding because the Polo hit my bus (Mercedes Benz sprinter) so hard it sent tumbling causing major damage amounting to approximately R130 000.

If there are no witnesses why can't the accident report be used as a deciding factor? This is a legal document drafted by the South African Police Service who attended to the scene.

Clearly the driver of the Polo will do all he can to lie and protect his job. It has been 7 months now and i lost lots of income since i used the bus for business purposes.

Is this how Regent works? Drag claims for 7months and then turn and say their client doesn't accept responsibility? The facts are there showing that the accident happened in a wrong lane for the VW Polo. had the VW Polo stayed in its righfull lane, the collision would not have happened.

Regent is playing a dirty game along with their client. Client trying to keep the monthly premium unchanged
