Security alarm battery

Bought a SECURI-PROD 12V 18Ah SLA battery and power supply which after 11 months the battery started to run out after an hour into loadshedding. The battery was returned to the Regal Security Bellville branch today, where it was purchased. Still under warranty, the battery now has to be taken to the supplier to have it checked out which takes at least three weeks as per the branch manager, Sharief. Also, there is no guarantee that I will be reimbursed. I had to buy another battery to ensure my alarm system is powered at all times. I was not informed about the issues of the lead batteries during loadshedding when purchased. Regal Security should supply products that are fit for this purpose. This is really dissapointing service from a major supplier.
