Poor service from Refinery Cavendish Square

I'm writing to advise you that on Saturday 29 August at around 3pm I was about to step into the Refinery clothing store in Cavendish Square. I had my mask on and I have my own sanitiser. As I was about to step into the store the cashier or store assistant advised that I need to sanitise my hands first. I agreed, and told her that I have my own sanitiser and was about to sanitise my hands when she said you can only sanitise with our sanitiser not your own. And I turned around and left the store.

I felt that, that was a pathetic rule, as there was no signage saying only Refinery's hand sanitiser may be used not my own. Also I HAD MY OWN SANITISER! I also feel that next time when you hire staff (be it weekenders or perm staff) kindly ensure that they are respectful and don't slouch when speaking to customers. I did not appreciate being denied entry into a store on the basis that I didn't want to use their store sanitiser.

I had my own hand sanitiser.

Later, I went to the Refinery Store in Canal Walk on the same Saturday and this sales associate was shocked that I was denied entry into your store in Cavendish on the basis of sanitiser. In fact when I walked into the store I showed her my sanitiser and there was no issue. I then explained what happened at Refinery Claremont. She apologised for that **** service I received in refinery Cavendish.

I suppose that's what happens when you hire kids in a part time capacity on a weekend. They have no brand loyalty. Only to themselves.

I would think in a global pandemic any store would be doing everything to entice customers to visit and buy from their store instead of pushing them away. Refinery Claremont, the service was deplorable.
