They cancel your booking at will...

This place is a shambles. I booked through booking.com 3 months ahead of my trip to Hartbee****rt for a wedding. Received the confirmation from Booking.com and from the lodge immediately. The day before I was due to travel I called them for directions and Marina the owner said she cancelled my booking because I had not paid. I told her she had not asked me for payment nor provided bank details and had never contacted me to follow up so how could she expect to have received payment - also how can she just cancel my booking and not even inform me?!?! After much arguing she agreed she messed up but could not help me as she had given my room away thus leaving me stranded without a place to stay for the wedding the next day - and for those that know Harties at the weekend, that means you are *****ed. Completely disgraceful. If you are unable to manage a business and honour commitments, you should not be in business. I would avoid this place like the plague. My friends stayed next door at Millstream Inn and said it was incredible value. In summary, look elsewhere at proper lodgings - do not put your trip at risk from an unreliable accommodation provider.
