Refuses to give us back our holding deposit

I was a tenant at Clarence Lowe's property at 6 Hansie Kotze, Unit 1 Eikepark , Randfontein for almost a year now, my lease was expiring at the end of this month ( September 30th) but because of some unforeseen circumstances and my daughter not being well since the beginning of last week from Monday the 14th of September 2015. Because she's has been haunted by some evil spirits of that house. I informed the owners sister ( Sylvia) on Wednesday 16th September that we have been unable to sleep since Monday and we would like them to move us to another property so we are not in breach of our lease that was expiring on Sept 30. The owners sister told us they have no other properties that they can move us to, on Thursday around 03:49 am I send a message to the owners sister who is the care taker and informed her that our daughter is getting worse and we cant stay there any longer, we will be moving out and we will find our place, she agreed and said she will come in for an inspection to see the place is still intact. When we moved in the unit it was not brand new and the walls where dirty, now that we have moved they do not want to give us our deposit and they say the unit was new.
