One too many

So.... Red Ruby. After a recommendation from plenty some people, my friends and I went to Red Ruby Club in Bali, and were sure to have a good time. Here's the problem: A woman had an altercation with another customer (male) both poured drinks on eachother- which I'd consider even- but the altercation escalated when the guy kicked the woman in the face. I went to talk to one of the security hoping to find out if the gentleman had been escorted off the premises or where he might be (a man who physically hurts any woman could be a threat to another), and as I was speaking to the security one of the bouncers shows up and physically threatened me by pushing his weight around me and staring me down.

There's two problems I had here: 1. The male that kicked a woman in the face was still allowed to stay in the building without any security making him feel any sense of restraint. 2. The bouncer physically imposed his "presence of power" on me (a skinny and unthreatening woman) when I was merely talking to another security, but completely ignored the real threat.

I asked for the manager who did NOT call the two bouncers involved, even after I insisted. Instead telling me he knows the story and this was not a common problem.

Not only did he not care- he failed to understand that no man should physically attack a women at any given point and that his staff did not feel the need to intervene. I had to drag people around the club to get one of the securities in question (the one who threatened me) to come out and get involved in the conversation.

Well, long story short: everyone tried to calm me down and comfort me byvsaying that this "doesn't happen at Red Ruth" but not a single genuine apology was offered by either one- in fact Mr Big Bouncer put on a puppy face of confusion.

After almost 40 minutes if trying to get the whole of top tier management to understand that physically mishandling a person is wrong ( some idiot security walks up to me and drags me by the hand) right in front of all the managers with no shame, no remorse and no intervention. So clearly he is comfortable doing this and has no respect for the private and sensitive conversations that are taking place betweeen his managers and clients. I tell them this is a timely sad example right in front of their eyes and no one even bothers to reprimand the security who pulled me by the arm with no reason.

No later than 5 seconds after (as I walked out the club) I find out that the woman was attacked again by the man who attacked her in the club with 5 security members there and other random men- despite all my efforts to show the management that a once-off incident is more than enough to warrant a reaction. He hit her in the face again. The fools are busy threatening women with no reason and failing to intervene when there is a genuine threat taking place.

Red Ruby is a clown fest. Management is all hot air and has no true control over security personnel that has women feeling unsafe... In 2019 when #MeToo is the downfall of major companies. It goes to show that a masculine business will never strive to protect women even when they are the reason for its success.

Plenty of women ( *** workers) were there, and who knows what Red Ruby ruby would be without the 70% female patronage.

Nice job on letting women get attacked and feel unsafe. It may not be all women- but hey who cares? Not Red Ruby.
