RCT UPS's are the worst!
I know loadshedding has affected many electronics, but I have only had Drama with my RCT2000VA. Either the Technical staff is *********** or they are not really replacing parts as stated.
I had an APC UPS for many years and after around 5 years it finally gave in. My insurance replaced it with this RCT UPS and I am very unsatisfied.
I opened it in July here in CPT as we relocated here from jhb. First 2 months it ran like a dream for the 4 hour schedule. Only running Fibre and router and for surge protection on TV. After that started going down quick to under an hour. I then booked in the UPS and after a few weeks they replaced batteries on the 24th of November 2022. 2nd December 2022 it wouldn't last more than 25min.
Again went back and booked it in and waited. Now today 20th December 2022 I asked again what has been done. Batteries replaced. So I proceeded to put unit on power since 14H00. Nothing connected to it just power input. Low and behold first loadshedding at 00H00 on the 21st of December at 1H00 UPS started beeping and died in 10min after that.
So what now? Book it in again just to have the "Batteries" replaced. I would never again by any RCT product again.
Dissatisfied by all accounts
