Dentist not honoring his appointments

My 82 year old Mother had two appointments with Dr Nel. I drove her 40 kilometers from Delmas to Bronkhorstspruit were his practice is in 70 KRUGER street. The first appointment she had to wait an hour before he attended to her. Today she left after an hour and 30 minutes without being attended to and with the tooth that is aching. What is the point of making an appointment?
