BS service to a 1st time customer
Today on 6 June 2018 I, as a first-time customer, placed an order online for products totaling almost R12500. After completing the checkout and waiting for my order confirmation, I was contacted and informed that my chosen delivery method (courier) was not possible. The reason given was that the company used (The Courier Guy) did not deliver to outlying areas such as plots and farms without a surcharge.
I generally make online purchases on a weekly basis, and never in the history have I been charged with a "surcharge" because of my delivery address. I order products from major online companies such as Takealot, Firstshop, Wootware and Loot, and I have received parcels delivered by the abovementioned courier, all the while being charged the standard rate.
I find the explanation completely ridiculous, and have decided to cancel the order and take my business elsewhere. This is not how you treat customers - with BS excuses!
