Becoming a ********.

Thank you Rebel Food for your amazing customer services today. I know that your staff have been extremely busy today but I find it absolutely repulsive that customers get treated like *********. I had gone to your store today to purchase some items. As we were standing in long ques waiting to pay I had taken a bottle of juice and opened it, while waiting to reach a tills. Once a till was available I placed the juice along with my handbag on the counter and was busy pushing through items and packing them with an attendant in a box. After paying and taking the items to the car. I realized that I haven't paid for the juice which I had forgotten on the counter. I went back in to the store and straight to the till that I had been helped at. The lady was busy ringing up another customer when I tried to shortly explain to her that I had forgotten to pay for the juice and just wanted to correct the mistake . With a disrespectful manner I was told that it had been thrown away as a customer had drunk it and not paid for it. Honestly I wasn't bothered with the fact that it was thrown away just the manner in which I was being addressed in. I AM THE CUSTOMER THAT DRANK IT AND FORGOT TO PAY FOR IT. YET HERE I WAS TRYING TO PAY FOR AN ITEM I HAD FORGOTTEN ON THE COUNTER AT THE TILL. To further my humiliation she then took the bottle out of the dustbin and tried to hand it to me. I told her yet again that I just wanted to pay for the item and that she could toss the bottles and its juice. She continued to hand me the bottle and told me to pay at another till. Currently the whole country is dealing with a Pandemic that is VIRUS related and I am forced to hold a garbage bottle. Great thinking guys!!! Give an honest lady a bottle that was in the dustbin. I was actually so shocked, humiliated and honestly hurt by this. Here I was fixing a small mistake. Just to be embarrassed in front of other clients. After a moment to gather my thoughts I asked her for a manager. She then proceeded to point out a staff member behind the till I was told to go to. While waiting in line an amazing (no truly she was so sweet and lovely) lady approached me to ask if I was okay. I told her what had happened. She then apologized took the bottle from me telling me I didn't have to pay for it. Clearly defeating the point. I then left, yet in the car I was still unsettled with how I had been treated. So I phoned the general manager and told him how disappointed and frustrated I was with the whole story. I was told that he would investigate and come back to me. I am currently still waiting. THANK YOU FOR TREATING ME LIKE A ********!!!
