Refund on Rental Deposit

We were renting a house from Reality 1 Centurion for 14 months. During that period the business was bought by a new owner. When we moved out of the rental property we did not receive our deposit because the funds were misused by the previous owner of Reality 1. The current owner has opened a case with SAPS. We have about R7000 that has not been paid back to us. What I need to find out as a consumer where can I get help to get our money back.
