VERY BAD SERVICE Horror Filthy Guesthouse - The real time guest HOUSE IN THABA'NCHU FREESTATE

My family booked 4 rooms at Real time guests House in Thaba'Nchu Freestate over the past weekend. Checked in 16th Dec 2022 to 18 Dec 2022. On arrival the receptions requires full payment upfront which was the 1st redflag. I requested to make use of the the toilet for my 3 year old niece, the outside toilets which are used by day visitors for events and chillas were appalling to say the least. The toilets are not in a good condition for human beings.

We drive for 7 hours to get to this place and we wanted to freshen up on arrival. There was no water. We couldn't bath not even a take shower as there was not even a single drop.

The cleaners left a stinking menstruation pad in the small bin, God knows for how long it was left in there. When you OPEN the bin - the stinch was horrible, I wonder when last did they clean the rooms? I notified the receptionist via my mobile as there are no telephones in the room to call for any services. He Claimed to physically come and remove it. He never pitched.

Then load shedding kicked in but upon the return of electricity, the guest house electricity t********** for over 18 hours and when the lights are off we were told the water won't come out as well. All this time we the guest thought it was load shedding.

The next day I complained about the pad now this time it was another gentleman who was in charged as the previous ones has gone home. He too promised to come sort out the pad issue. He never came. I put the bin outside the building. By this time still no water and lights. We used a kettle to warm bottle water in order to be able to brush our teeth and just wipe ourself on the basin.

We went on our business for the day upon our return still ko water and lights. This time we encounter the 3rd guy who claimed to be the son of the owner promised. To sort every for us in the morning and promised that his dad will be there in the morning to address us.

3rd day we used water from our cooler boxes to just wash our faces. Most guest were now vocal about the situation, we gather at reception in the morning, the owners personised hammer vehicle is parked. We were hoping that his coming to attend to these issues as per his son. The owner locked himself in his office and tells his manager that he doesn't have to see us as this is a municipality issue it has nothing to do with him. The audecity this owner has, its appauling. He took our monies knowing very well that he has such problems with his establishment. What kind of a businessman does that, not even have the decency to come bluff us or appologise or make plans that we get water!!! His a typical *********, I'm sure he even ****d the star grading of his guest house.

Tried to look this guest house on Booking.com couldn't find it only to find it on TP Booking. I called the administrator who promised to de-list it on their website only after getting the side of the owners.

I'm sure if we can get Tourism Inspectors to have a look at this place it will be shut down with immediate effect.
