A difficult rental experience that left a lasting impact

I do not usually write negative reviews, as I understand that everyone has off days and mistakes can happen. But my experience with an agent from Real Estate Services changed that perspective.

I rented an apartment through an agent registered with the company. Our initial interaction was positive, professional and friendly. We agreed on certain conditions regarding the apartment’s contents, and these were communicated in writing. However, everything changed after my application was approved and the deposit paid.

Upon moving in, I discovered multiple issues with the apartment, which were documented in the inventory report and the agent and their assistant were informed of. Unfortunately, basic services that are considered fundamental rights for any tenant were not met. Several points that had been agreed upon early on were ignored, despite written proof.

As the weeks and months went by, I was made to feel as though I misunderstood our agreements. Even though I paid the full rental amount throughout my stay, I could not properly utilize the space. I made several attempts to resolve matters with the agent, but these efforts were unsuccessful. Eventually, the situation became too stressful to continue. I chose to terminate my lease early, not out of convenience, but necessity. Even with all documentation proving the issues were not my fault, I was still held responsible for early termination penalties.

This experience took an emotional, mental, and physical toll. I am sharing this review not to place blame or seek an apology, but to offer insight into my personal experience, so others can navigate their interactions with more clarity and confidence.

While every experience is different, mine has left a lasting impression, and I hope sharing it helps someone else feel more prepared in their journey.
