Credit Card Abuse

<p>I booked accommodation through booking.com for this guest house, and susequently enquired through booking.com about cancellation of the booking as it was in the wrong area. I never requested cancellation, and was assured by booking.com that the booking remained standing. However upon arrival at the guest house, I was told that the booking was cancelled anyway, and my credit card charged. They then wanted to cancel the person they replaced me with, which I thought was unreasonable to that person and unprofessional by them.</p> <p> </p> <p>In short, this was not my fault, and I fail to see why I should pay for a room that was filled anyway. This is borderline *****. </p>
