ADT/Fidelity Security - The next Eskom. All promise but no delivery

We recently installed a ADT/Fidelity house alarm system in our new house in Rynfield benoni.. The salesperson Jannie was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and it seemt at the time we would get everything we wanted/asked for i.e.

1) Pet friendly wireless alarm system 2) Connected to the control room with the surety that armed reaction is always within 5 min from our address 3) Wireless beams to cover and extend our alarm system to the back yard where our property is most vulnerable

Issue 1 - only after the installation and having our cat set the alarm off ( 6 times in 1 hours) where we told that you don't get such a thing a pet friendly alarm

Issue 2 - Our system can't work on a normal GSM radio due to absolutely no GSM signal on either of the major networks. ADT installed a IOT radio, but we still seem to have issues arming/disarming the house via their App. ADT advised that we simply have to arm it via the keypad......not really a effective and efficient solution

Now for the BIG ISSUES:

1) House alarm is suppose to be connected to the main control room, and we are suppose to either get a automated call from the system when it's set off OR the control room should call us. Past weekend the alarm went off several times, with none of these happening. AND once they phoned us 25 min after the alarm went off.........***!!!!!!!! And not once was armed response sent to us !!!!!!

2) Our beam for which we paid almost R4k for doesn't work like it's suppose to, in that it does not activate in the one direction until you are half a meter from it. Jannie the sales person said he logged a service request for this to be fixed/rectified.........it's been 4 days and still nothing

3) We have several break ins in our complex last week. We requested ADT to please do drive by patrols to which they agreed. They even confirmed that they would give us patrol confirmation via putting patrol papers under outdoor. 7 days and still not one patrol ????

It's been 3 weeks now and we sadly can't say that ADT is worth of being named a security company especially when it comes to armed reaction and home protection.

This complaint is our very last attempt of trying to get what we where promised and paid for both in cash up front AND per month
