Worst travel agents

We booked with Kelly and Riaan Venter from RDK Unlimited in the beginning of 2023 for our honeymoon in Thailand.

She said they have a supplier that we can use that does monthly installments. At first it was WOLO travel and we agreed on this.

We paid 3 month's installments until se realised everything seemed legit until my uncle (that's been doing business with them for 6 years) told me that they are owing him money. I then messaged Kelly to ask if everything is confirmed and legit with our honeymoon because they are owing my uncle money and I'm starting to stress if they are going to do the same with us. She then didn't reply for a few days because I mentioned my uncles name.

I sent her messages everyday regarding this matter with no reply. She eventually came back to me around end of the month, because thats when payment was due, saying no she can assure us everything is legit and confirmed we don't have to stress about anything.

When the 4th payment was due I asked her for confirmation of something before I'm going to make payment. She sent me confirmation of flight tickets and everything seemed fine as I don't know how these stuff are supposed to look. I sent it to a friend of mine that works for this specific airline and asked if he can just check is everything is confirmed as per this confirmation and he said he can't find anything on the system so this is a false confirmation.

We then asked for any other confirmation and she couldn't give us anything.

Then I got a email from "the supplier" saying if we don't pay by the following day there will be penalties an so forth. I then tried to go into the email address "the supplier" because if you forward an email you are able to go into the address if its in bold and it just wouldn't go into the email address.

The following morning I sent this "supplier" an email asking if this person who she forwarded the email from is working for them and this lady came back to me asking where I got her name. I then forwarded her the supposed email that "she" sent me and I asked her if she sent this and if they have any confirmation for us on our surnames or id numbers and I told her that this Kelly is working between us, she's dealing with the package. This lady came back to me saying she never sent that email, nor typed it.

She also told me that she only dealt with Kelly ONCE and that was when she asked her for a quote on this package that we wanted. Also mentioning that they don't even do monthly installments. So Kelly used their quote to send to us to make everything look legit.

I then sent Kelly all this proof saying that there is NO confirmation anywhere and that she's been lying this whole time. And just *****ing our money. Her response was: " Hi Sinead,

I'm actually not sure what is going on at the moment and I am currently investigating myself, however as discussed yesterday, I am happy to refund you your money as soon as I am able to confirm myself what the situation is.

I will confirm with you as soon as the refund has been processed into the below account as requested." This was the 10th of May. After 2 deadlines that she didn't meet we gave her over to our Lawyer which then intervened.

Since the 15th of June she then missed 3 deadlines again. She always has an excuse to make the payment. Up until today she owes us R26 000.

Kelly and Riaan ignores our phone calls and emails.

I will not advise anyone to do business with them ever! Worst so called avel agents ever!!!!

If they are owing you money I advise you to open a ***** case at the SAP so that this can be taken further.
