Why is R5000 in March 2020 still R5000 in January 2021.

I have had an account with Jet for a long time and I am now filled with regrets. My account has been sitting at R5000, a balance I have had since lockdown. I am flummoxed that I have not made a dent in that balance despite the fact that I have been making payments every month and I have not been in store to make payments. I have calculated the total amounts I have been paying since then, they total R3960.

Since lockdown started I have never been to any branch to purchase anything. I am losing patience and so is my partner who is assisting me in making the payments against an ever revolving R5000. Am I being charged 100% interest. This is not possible. Can someone get a hold of me and explain to me why my balance is not going down. Not a call Centre agent who will fail to respond to my questions and the only advice they give me is that I need to go in store to sort everything out.

Jet is the only account that does not want to end. I have had enough of this Merry Go Round. I need to finish paying off this account and close it.

Another thing that is really irritating is that I requested that any policies with Hollard should be canceled. This request was done in store in 2019. Can somebody please give me a call so as to explain what is happening with my account.

Kind regards,

Ms Chidzuu
