Unhappy RCS/Game customer

I hereby want to lay officially a complaint regarding the manner how RCS is handeling my finacial distres due to Covid 19.

Since the lockdown i was at home and received no salary for more than 3 months. Rcs was informed and the relevant documentation submitted (see attached proof of submission ) The credit life policy was also brought into activation.

Since last week i was contacted several times via sms that i am in arreas and will be handed over for collection. On Monday 13 July 2020 i went to Game Mountain Mill (Worcester) and the Rcs assistent helped me to contact Rcs head office. They assured me that my documents was received and my account will be escalated again for processing.

However on Thursday 16 July 2020 i received again a sms that my account will be handed over for collection. I went again to Game mountain mill Worcester and i was approached by the rcs assistant in a very unprofessional manner. She said that i have to pay my account even though i have credit life and documentation submitted. Also that i have to answer the calls of rcs even if i could be disciplined at work, because work policy is that no private calls can be answered. Through out all my communication with rcs I asked that they must communicate through email or phone after 17h00. On Saturday 18 July 2020 i received again an sms that i must pay immediately R2306. 95 or i will be handed-over and legal action be taken for bridge of contract.

I want to bring it again under your attention that i was due to lockdown for more than 3 months at home without any salary or income. I only started working full-time from 6 July 2020 and will receive a salary at the end of July 2020 which will also not be full salary. I will then make payment arrangements with all my debtors.

I also take the continues calls to my workplace in a serious light as it will lead to disciplinary action and possible work loss. I am also not the only person in the whole of South Africa that is in financial distress and therefor I take the ongoing sms'e of threats that i will be handed over for bridge of contract as serious and inhumane in the midst of the abnormal financial situation.

If you cannot resolve this matter in the next 48 working hrs I am obligated to contact the ombudsman or the office of the consumer protector.

Can you please contact me on email or if needs be after 17h00 on my cellphone.

Thank you in advance
