Unfair business practices
Made payment on Edgars account 28 February R270 1 April R264 2 May R264 This is exactly the amount on my statements. The payments was not allocated. RCS calls me on the most inconvenient hours and demand payment. When I told them I paid in full although a bit late they did not even listen. When I told them the amounts I paid, they said it is not correct. Well it is according to statements they send! I never missed a payment. I want the name of the rude, unhelpful agent who called yesterday at 17.42 pm. Within a hour the amount "owed" increased by R200! I cannot make it any clearer. I am not behind in payments. The last payment was made 2 May 2022. Yet RCS started to call after that date. So no late fees may be charged now, after the fact, as I am not overdue at this time! Don't call me an make threats without checking if you are wrong and investigating when the customer tells you payment has been made! I am a Edgars customer for over 20 years and this is how I get treated because of YOUR mistake. Check you records! And the rude woman who called said "You will get another call". After I told her to check first as I did pay! She refused! And the charged me some kind of fee! I want detailed statements reflecting the payments made and all fees added removed as there are no outstanding amounts from my side not paid! And where is a reference number for the called made? The number called from is ***. It is against the consumer protection act to charge fees when an account is not in arrears. Get our admin in order. I want a supervisor to call me immediately with an apol

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of some of the terms and conditions associated with payment of your account: The amount payable, as indicated on your statement, must be paid by the 1st of the month. ● We recommend that a debit order be set up on your account. This is a very convenient way for you to ensure that the right amount is paid at the right time each month. You can call us on ***or email us at *** today to arrange this. Paying the right amount, each month, on time, means you will be able to continue making purchases on your account. It also ensures that you are completing an essential part of maintaining an excellent credit record. You will avoid unnecessary collection charges and additional interest being added to your account. To continue enjoying the benefits associated with your Edgars SA Account, we urge you to ensure that payment of this overdue amount is paid today. We look forward to receiving your payment and to maintaining a positive credit relationship with you. If payment has been made prior to this letter please ignore. "
The amount payable? R798? According to statements? And what statement exactly showed R798? I queried the amount and whatever was added was after the fact! How can charges be added when the amount is being queried? Again if the agent only listened instead of hanging up I would not incur unfair fees! Not my fault! Escalate this as high as senior management if need be! I do not owe a sent!
What a joke!
