Unauthorized debit order

I have a cotton on store card and I always pay my monthly installment via EFT, I pay regularly and have never been in arrears.

A few days ago I went into my bank account and saw that they had tried to debit me but there weren’t enough funds in the account, so it didn’t go through.

So my bank is going to charge me a fee for the debit order not going through and RCS is charging me a penalty fee.

I shouldn’t have to pay all these fees for a debit order I didn’t authorize, had I known they were going to debit this month, I wouldn’t have moved all my money to my other account.

When I call the call Centre the lady says to me “yes I don’t know why we debited you because it doesn’t say you requested a debit” and that’s where she left it She felt no need to follow up or rectify the situation.

I have had no problems with RCS thus far and I find this very disappointing.
