Unauthorised Debit and Bad Service from Agents
"Hello Peter,
I'm reporting RCS for unauthorised double debit, appalling customer service, and a complete lack of urgency in resolving my issue.
On 1st April 2025, I made a payment at an RCS store, but my account was still debited. Despite sending proof of payment, I've received no response or refund.
To make matters worse, I interacted with an agent named Zinhle Gumede, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I've attached a copy of my email to RCS, which includes my account details and proof of payment.
Furthermore, I called RCS and spoke to Lumka, who was also rude and unhelpful. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she transferred me to another agent, Siya. Siya couldn't assist me either, claiming the refund department only works on weekdays.
I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with RCS's service. The lack of accountability, empathy, and competence is staggering.
I demand a refund, compensation for the distress caused, and a formal apology for the atrocious treatment I received.
Account details:
- ID no: *** - Payment date: 01-04-2025 - Payment amount: R406.00 (at the store) and R398.59 (debited amount)
Email to RCS, proof of payment, and call details attached.
I hope Hello Peter can assist in resolving this matter and holding RCS accountable for their actions.
Sincerely,
NC Simelane
I'm writing to share my frustrating experience with RCS. Recently, I received an email from them stating that my monthly instalment for April was R604.33, which is incorrect. My actual instalment for March was R398.59.
When I responded to their email, pointing out the discrepancy, I was shocked to see that they were trying to take advantage of me. Here's what they said:
"Dear Miss Nonhlanhla Christin Simelane,
Thank you for your email and for attaching the statement. Please see the attach statement. The monthly instalment April was R604.33 therefore we can only refund you amount of R200.26 from the difference that you paid."
This is unacceptable. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with RCS. They may try to rob you blind. I ignored warnings from friends and family, but now I regret it. Don't make the same mistake I did.
# Lessons Learned
- Always double-check your statements
- Be cautious of companies that try to take advantage of you
- Listen to warnings from others
# Rating: 1/5
RCS, you had my business, but now you're losing a customer. I'll be paying off my debts and avoiding your products altogether.
