Struggling to Cancel RSC Card
I paid more than my balance on my RCS Card. So I should be in credit? Not the case. I then received a statement charging administration fees and charging interest on the administration fee. I have tried to cancel my RCS Card repeatedly by email, nobody has gotten back to me and I have only received automated emails saying go online. There is no way to cancel your card on line. I have tried to phone and have held on for 30 minutes to 1 hour without getting through! I am paying this phone bill!!!! RCS state in their terms and conditions to email/telephone to cancel your card but it is impossible!! What do I have to do to cancel this card?

20 Nov 2018, 14:58Finally after holding on for over an hour I got through to a consultant. This is what they don't tell customers and which I was told by the consultant. When making the final payment of each purchase you make on the card you must phone them and ask for a settlement figure and to close the purchase otherwise they will charge you an administration fee and then interest on the administration fee! To close your account is another hassle. First you have to email your proof of payment (even if its on debit order) to the payments department. Then you have to phone the cancellations and ask for your card to be cancelled - the two departments cannot reconcile with each other. It can take up to 30 days to cancel your card. You must follow up to see if your card has been cancelled - they can't confirm that it will definitely be done.

21 Nov 2018, 21:14I received a letter of cancellation. Having looked and the reviews here regarding accounts stating being closed and not. I'll see! According to the email sent to me. I am told in the terms and conditions you must ask for a settlement amount. It should then state that after each and every purchase on the last payment you are required to ask for a settlement amount in order not to incur costs. In fact I overpaid my account. When I asked to close the account I was asked to provide proof of payment beside the fact my account had been paid in full and I had paid the service fee and ithe interest charged after I had paid in full. You also need to note that in order to telephone RCS I had to hold on for over an hour! I have made a point and will continue to warn people and friends about RCS. It's actually more cost effective to get a credit card!
