RCS|Makro account very useless: Urgent Complaint – Unauthorized Charge for WeeCode (20 March)

On 20 March, I requested a WeeCode valued at R411 to make a purchase on the Mr D app. The Mr D app only verified the authenticity of the WeeCode — I did not proceed with the purchase. Despite this, my account was still charged.

For the past 11 days, I have emailed RCS Group and contacted both Makro and RCS directly. I have received no meaningful assistance. The responses have been unclear, unhelpful, and no one seems to take ownership of resolving this issue.

This is also not the first time this has happened. On 11 May 2023, I experienced the same issue with my RCS/Mobicred account and was never refunded. That matter was never properly resolved.

This time, I will not accept being ignored. I expect a full investigation and a refund of the R411 charged for a transaction that was never completed.

Please treat this as urgent and provide a clear resolution without further delays.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it further through the appropriate consumer protection channels.
