RCS Stands for Rude Customer Service

Masoodah at RCS is as rude as they come. She works in ***** and has absolutely no regard for customers.

I was told I would need to come in for my Makro card. I’ve been told numerous times that the amount I would qualify for would be. After application, I was called by a member of the RCS group and asked verifying questions, culminating in them mentioning that I’d need to activate my card in store. Upon going to the store and activating my card, I attempted to get the item I had originally came in to get, my card was declined. I was told so very many times that activating my card would be quick and easy.

But wait, it gets worse. I approach the credit team who immediately call the ***** department. I speak to a Masoodah who is abrupt, rude and frankly was not in the mood to help and was presented with the following information: the amount that I had set was lower than the amount I wanted to pay with.

The problem was when I asked to speak to a manager, Masoodah mentioned there was no manager and the conversation got heated. I was already sent from pillar to post - signing documents for delivery and getting ANOTHER Makro card.

Eventually, I asked for a manager at the store and they called into RCS and connected me to Kelly who apparently is a manager in customer services.

I was then told that ***** should have called me and that the initial call I got from RCS to set up my card limit should NEVER have happened.

So what is RCS’s procedure? The managers don’t even know! What is the recourse for an erroneous call that apparently was NOT supposed to happen? I don’t even think they know.

Any level of professionalism does NOT exist at Makro and RCS. The “Customer Service” people don’t know what’s going on with new acquisitions and the “*****” department think they’re above everyone else.

An absolute joke. This is why South African businesses cannot find a foothold.
