RCS - refusal to comply with POPI Act and remove my personal information.
I have just opened a matter with the Information Regulator as this company will NOT stop contacting me. They cold call me (I have no account with RCS or any of their subsidiaries) up to 18 times a day.... I have on several occasions asked that my information be removed from their system and then the operator on that side simply sigh or put down the phone. Minutes later, I would get a phone call again. This is in breach of the POPI Act which allows me to ask that my information be removed. I have spoken to their client services department to ask for their legal department, but they refused to give me that information. I therefore issued a formal complaint with the Information Regulator for such breach.

26 Feb 2024, 10:31Hi
I did receive the email on 23 Feb apologising for any inconvenience and informing me that my name has now been added to the "do not call" list. Despite this email - I again received a phone call on the 26st Feb at 9:11am... Are there no systems in place? Are the operators not trained? Clearly, there is still no compliance with POPIA...
