RCS Public Beneficiary Payment Allocations

I made a payment to RCS of a rather large amount. I used the "public beneficiary" option from my bank to deposit the money and unfortunately for me, I missed one digit on my reference number. I contacted RCS to advise them that I had made the payment and sent them the Proof of Payment to verify this. I was passed from pillar to post. RCS claims the "public beneficiary" details do not show on the POP and had me jump through hoops to try to prove that I had paid money into THEIR account. Even my bank mentioned to me this is a bizarre way to go about as they (RCS) provide the public beneficiary details to the bank for upload. Needless to say, several email & calls later and even an email from my banker to confirm transaction and account details, and still no response from RCS. Their automated response claim someone will contact me within 48 hours and I am still waiting.... appears to me that RCS wants to cause me the most inconvenience in the hopes I would just "forget" about the matter. I am done doing their job for them. Worst team I have ever dealt with!
