RCS PICK N PAY - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I have had another terrible experience with RCS when I tried to pay for my PnP purchases today. At the cashier, I gave my Pick n Pay Credit card and after putting in the Pin, the message appeared - Declined. Reason 75 Pin tries exceeded. I put in the Pin once and after the ONCE, the message appeared. In any case, I did put in the correct PIN. If by any chance, I did insert the wrong PIN, there should have been another chance, but no chance. This has happened at least 4 times [if not more] over the past 2 years. Then the terrible experience of getting the PIN changed - the customer help line is every thing but help - it is disgusting, the time it takes to get through, hanging on - it can take up to 45 minutes to sort out. My experience of RCS is that its service is worse than Home Affairs. Talk to the store managers and they are also fed up but management ignores their appeals. Now to add insult to injury, I phoned the help line and the person who answered, Porche - was very helpful but she told me that I have to go to the nearest store with my ID and 3 signatures. I asked her what had happened between 7th Sept, my last purchase and today, the 9th - she did not know but the computer reflected this message. I am on point now of cutting up my card and no longer buying from Pick n Pay. Pick n Pay management [whom one can never get hold of] need to realise that their good name is being undermined by this poor service from RCS.
