RCS make series of errors but leave the client humiliated at the paypoint
Trust your Makro Credit App, RCS SMS or even the RCS Call Centre Staff at your own Peril !
Yesterday 19 August before going to our local Shell Filling station I checked the Makro Credit App on my phone, and noticed that I had been granted a Limit Increase. Before embarrassing myself though I phoned and spoke to a call Centre agent, who assured me the amount of credit available was correct. I filled up my wife's car with petrol and all went well. As usual I was received a SMS thanking me for my purchase and notifying me of how much credit was still available.
This morning I checked the app quickly as I needed to put in some diesel. The Makro Credit App was clearly on the blink, so I put in a call once again to the RCS card call centre. Yes, they know about the mobile app issues. Their IT is working on it, with no time provided yet for when they would be done. My credit balance? Oh, that's fine, and the agent confirms what the SMS has has informed me. I joked that "I don't want to fill up and then the card doesn't work..) "No problem Sir. If you have any problems just phone us and we can speak to the garage!" I ask the garage attendant to fill up my bakkie's tank. And the Makro Card Declines! Long story short, after more than 30 min on the phone, the call centre team leader tells me "Theres nothing we can Do.." One cant trust the Makro App. One cant trust the SMS's sent out by RCS. One cannot even rely on what the RCS call centre agent says.
I await a response from your "relevant department"
After 3 people were so cavalier, it is clear that the display of apathy and atrocious service by RCS is an issue of corporate culture.
