RCS living up to their terrible reputation - no timescale to close a paid off account!!!

Absolutely shocking. Since they took over my Edgars account I have had terrible service so I decided to close my account. I paid it off in full in store on 08th September 2020 and had a R0.00 balance, yet they have still app**** charges to my empty account. One customer service agent tells me the account closure will be done the same day if not the next morning, but now I am told there is no time scale at all and it could take a month if not longer! Really?? No time scale? This cannot be legal. This is exactly why both my husband and I have paid off our accounts and are closing them - RCS are the worst, but at least they are living up to their terrible reputation.
