RCS is NOT a "service" provider

Do NOT apply for an account at Game or any other company associated with RCS. They lower credit limits without any type of notification to the customer and hide behind clever little clauses in their contracts of why they can do whatever they wish whenever they wish. I had a credit limit of R7,000 on my Game card (even though I am as yet to receive any type of statement, I still pay my account) but it was lowered to R3,000 without even an email or text notifying me of it. I got the account for convenience as I planned on using it to get the nursery ready (my wife and I are expecting our baby end July) however I was left with egg on my face when I wanted to purchase items essential for a nursery, only to be told that my credit limit has been reached (this was when I found out about the credit limit decrease). I have paid cash for what we needed for the nursery, however should I have been able to use my account it would have been much more convenient. Also this action by RCS has negatively affected my credit rating which will more than likely impact on the house that me and my wife were thinking of trying to purchase. My account has always been paid, so I do not understand the sudden decrease. When I tried to find out why it was done, I was merely told that a certain clause in the contract allows RCS to decrease credit limits without prior notice to customers "to protect consumers". *******, I do not need protection. Thanks to their terrible service and business ethic I have to try and fix my credit rating. Shame on you.
