RCS, Edgars, Retailability - Catch a Wake-up!
Closing an Edgars account is a nightmare! Edgars and RCS really need to come to the party here.
Payments that have gone missing (no record on their side). An account balance that jumps from R11000 to R21000 in a month (even though no shopping has occurred). A call centre that is really terrible (no knowledge of products, no information, don't have information on record, cannot be heard because of the cheap phone line?). Promises to get back. Promises to send statements (no one at RCS can find statements and purchase history). Edgars staff that are also fed up with dealing with RCS.
How is the National Credit Regulator allowing all of this to happen under their noses???
Edgars / Retailability, if they want to save their reputation and business, need to step up here, before I start a campaign to ask every account holder to get rid of their cards!
It's a mess, and a sorry will not suffice! Next stop - Credit Regulator which I encourage every other person fed up by this fiasco, to approach!

When your CEO says "it is unfortunate", that "customers are experiencing difficulties" - it does not bode well for ANY response you try to drum up.
Say sorry - find a solution - tell everyone - and let's be done with this nonsense!
Again - Edgars HAS to come to the party!
But given Edcon's tackling of accounts over the years, despite their best efforts and finding what they thought were the BEST solutions, it is clear from what has transpired that they drank a little too much of their own Kool Aid.
