RCS Blocked paid up account

During February I settled my RCS account in full. Last night when trying to use my card at Pick n Pay they advised me of their new procedure where they are required to phone RCS for authorization, which is not a problem, because how long can a phone call take, well!!!! After the manager was on hold for 5 minutes, he was told that there was suspicious activity on my account and was told to email a copy of my ID, my card and 3 specimen signatures to them. The manager handed me the phone and I asked the man why this was necessary. Apparently it is suspicious to settle your outstanding debt. The gentleman on the phone told me that he can see that I settled my account, but that my account has been placed on suspension/review due to "unreturned payments". I told him that how could this be the case if I settled the full outstanding amount in one payment! I however handed the phone back the Manager at Pick n Pay and he took further instructions from the gentleman at RCS and went to make the copies and sent it via email. He phoned RCS again to be told by a different lady that the email address the previous guy gave him is wrong. He went and set it again and phoned RCS again. The lady told him that the info is incorrect and that there were no specimen signatures. Which was impossible because I had signed the paper 3 times in front of the manager. The manager once again went to check that the information was correct, which it was and sent it for a fourth time! Between spending an hour and half standing in Pick n Pay with my daughter crying to go home, we eventually managed to get hold of someone at RCS who knew what they were doing and the lady apologised and said that she cannot see why the account had been placed on suspension/review in the first place.

I have never in my life been this embarrassed, and to think all of this for settling my account. At the end of this month, I will be repaying my purchase to RCS in full and closing this account, seriously disapointed with the service I got from your company last night.

Compliments to the Manager at Pick & Pay Gonubie for his excellent service and tenacity.
