Payment still not reflecting after 22 days.

I made a payment from my app to my Game RCS account using the same beneficiary details I've used for over a year. The payment was made on 27 August. The same ones I made a payment to twice in July with no issue. Since making the payment, I've received several email and SMSes telling me that I haven't paid. I've provided proof of payment.

Today, I received another email saying: "Thank you for your email.

The payments that made on, was not paid to RCS. You will be required to revert back to the bank to trace the funds for you.

Should you require any further information, please feel free to contact us on ***or email ***"

Could you be even less helpful? This is the standard of communication I've received throughout this debacle. It's also a different way of them saying the same thing you've said repeatedly.

You're very quick to send me a message when you think I've not paid, but SLOW AS ALL HELL when you need to solve a problem for me.

I would give you a negative rating if I could.

I received another email from you telling me that the payment was to the wrong account.

It's the same details I made a payment to in July, and the same ones I've been using since August 2017. The July payment shows up on the last statement I received from you.

This means you've changed something without informing me. I've gone back to see if there's been a notification of a change and there's been none.

My account is now in arrears, which affects my credit score, because of YOU.

If your banking details changed, it's YOUR responsibility to let clients know.

To reiterate:

I made a payment to my Game RCS account of R280 on 27 August 2020.

The account is set up as a beneficiary on my banking app. It's the same beneficiary I've been paying since August 2017.

A few days after I made the payment, I started receiving Email, SMS messages and calls telling me that my account is in arrears.

I've been in contact with several people since 14 September. The last person to respond by email informed me that the bank details weren't correct.

To reiterate, I've been using the same details since August 2017. The July 2020 payment I made to the same beneficiary is listed on the August statement I received, so the banking details were correct up till the end of July.

The only way that they can't be the right details, is if they were changed after my payment in July.

If that is the case, I've received no communication of a change of details. The first time I did was in an email I received yesterday.

The only option is now to get my bank to try and trace the money and get it back. That is going to cost me an additional R160, and there's a 50% chance the money will be returned in 40 days' time.

This means that:

- My account is now in arrears
- This will affect my credit profile
- If my money isn't recovered from wherever it went, I'll be out of pocket for R720 to cover a payment of R280 (which I've already made)

This is YOUR fault. And usual for South Africa, you're quick to ask for money, but slow to roll out a good client experience by helping clients solve a problem.

I've just received another SMS from you telling me I'm now in Collections. Is this what you mean by escalating it? No solution, just handover? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Also, don't send me an SMS with a number to call, but then you don't answer when I call. Are you serious?
