Makro Credit card payment holiday but now in arrears
On the 8th of December I received a sms from Makro RCS that my December debit order has been deactivated as I qualify for a payment holiday in December (Still have the sms). On Thursday the the 11th Of Jan i received a phone call from RCS stating that my account is in arrears and that I must make a payment immediately. I explained that I received the message on the 8th and they must sort out there internal mess. The lady assured me that it would be sorted out. My debit order was reinstated on the 11th after speaking to the lady. On the 12th I receive another phone call thinking it would be to tell me that he mess has been rectified but nope this is to offer me a loan. On the 13th of Jan i receive another sms stating I must pay the R1400 immediately to avoid incurring additional costs. Today the 16th I then receive an email with a letter attached stating that I must settle the arrears amount plus this months (Jan) installment. I will be in contact with the Consumer Credit Act and Consumer protection departments and take this matter further.
