INTEREST ON A ZERO BALANCE

I have an RCS Account and I asked for the full balance last month to which I paid it in full. This month I get a statement and I owe R83 something to which one is Club Fee and some interest... Now INTEREST on a ZERO Account... To me or in my book something isn't right there...<br> <br> I sent them an email and was told within 48hours I will get feedback and now its 72hours since and I havent even got any feedback... Upon calling them, the call center staff informed me that the interest is compounded daily and hence the R50 something interest and when I check if WHY would it be calculated hence I paid... I was told the stores to which I pay can only see balance and I need to request settlement..Something never said or ever shared by RCS. <br> <br> Upon asking how to get a ZERO and NEVER an Interest accumulating account whilst it owes ZERO I was told I need to pay the balance as shown on my new statement.. Any difference to the exercise I did last month ??? Not according to my book... <br> <br> Anyone care to explain whats going on here:<br> Account No: ***
