Insurance *****

I recently lost my job and app**** for the insurance to cover loss of income. The insurance states that it covers loss of income, no exclusions are listed, but I was declined based on the fact that I was dismissed from my job. I was not even offered a reduction on my installment. When I pointed this out to the call centre agent, she told me that she can offer me an installment of R1400 per month, which is higher than what my installment is. I laughed at the consultant pointing out that I can't afford the current installment and her solution is to offer me a higher installment. She then tells me to contact the insurance, uhm, to what end? Your insurance is a lie and I will be taking this up with the NCR in the new year. You can't offer something on an insurance policy and then have exclusions that are not stipulated in your paperwork.

You then have the nerve to send me an email telling me that my account is in arrears and I must contact you to make arrangements for payment, or be handed over? Do your departments not communicate? I tried to contact you to make arrangements but you were not very helpful. Dealing with you guys is like a dog chasing it's own tail- you get nowhere!!
