False information submitted to credit bureaus

Not a very bad company but it is one of those companies that will do their best to mess up you name with the credit bureaus so that your profile is damaged, and you keep coming back to them with their very high interest rates. I had a loan with them that was paid of a few years back, but they made sure that it remained open with the credit bureaus so that it can lower my score. I contacted them about it, and they told me that there is nothing they can help me with I must sort this out myself.
