Demands to settle account already settled in 2013

A few years ago I took out a loan with RCS and the loan was paid up in 2013 through the their attorneys VVM. A few months ago I received an email from another firm of attorneys acting on RCS's behalf, Norton Lambrianos, offering me a discount on my apparent debt. I told them that the debt was settled a long time ago. They then requested that I get a paid-up letter from VVM and I did that months ago and never got it and had to call VVM again. Now Norton Lambrianos are telling me that summons have been issued. <br> <br> I find it appalling that RCS's record keeping is so bad that they would come after me so many years after the loan has been paid up and demand that I use my resources to prove to them that I paid up them when their records show that the account is indeed paid up. And that I should get a letter from them and send it to Norton Lambrianos.<br> <br> This is seriously appalling and bad service at its best. Now I'm going to have a mark on my credit record because of their inefficiencies. Not acceptable.
