******** deduction from my bank account
- I took out a loan with RCS earlier this year. - I settled the said loan in full on 22 August 2024. - Upon my request, RCS subsequently furnished me with a ‘Paid Up Letter’ on 27 August 2024. - I also subsequently called RCS and they confirmed that the debit order that they had previously set up in respect of my monthly instalment for the said loan had been cancelled. - They further reassured me that no further debit order would go off my bank account, as the loan had been settled in full. - Despite their said assurance, a debit order went off my bank account for the amount of R3 182.63 on 29 August 2024. - I immediately called them and requested them to reimburse me the said amount that they had wrongfully deducted from my bank account. - Despite numerous follow ups, RCS have advised me that it will take them 14 days to reimburse me the said amount. - I am of the opinion that this is totally unacceptable as I am now out of pocket for the said amount that they wrongfully deducted from my bank account. - They are also not going to pay me interest on the said amount for the said 14 day period that they are taking to give me back my money. - I think that RCS’s actions are very unfair and that they are ripping their customers off by the said dishonest behaviour. - I urgently require RCS to pay me the amount of R3 182. 63, which they ********ly stole from my bank account.
