Cannot do maths! Adding outstanding balance to your account that's been paid up?????

Worst customer experience ever!!! They are incapable of doing maths! I want to close my account and paid the outstanding balance. I phoned to esquire how to close the account of which the consultant informed me I owe them more money??? How does that work if you paid the full outstanding amount? Do they just add interrest on a R0 balance now???
