BLATANT REFUSAL TO ASSIST AND COMPLETE DENIAL OF ISSUE
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">I was advised by my father </span><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">that he was having various problems with the RCS Group.</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">To summaries same, he stated that earlier this year he received an sms on his phone stating that his RCS card was being used in Mpumalanga whilst he was in KZN. Upon calling the call centre he was asked to produce an affidavit, copy of his I.D and signature specimens. The matter was sorted and a new card was issued to him. He has also advised that he had to further more pay for said card even after all the inconvenience he occurred due to no fault on his part. This to me is outrageous but it gets far more bizzare. Last month, he receives a call from RCS advising him as follows:</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">Someone else is paying into his account;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">He is sharing an account number with someone else;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">RCS gave his account number to another individual;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">His balance is R </span><a style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" href="tel:8 000.00">8 000.00</a><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">He must pay R </span><a style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" href="tel:8 000.00">8 000.00</a><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">He will be blacklisted if he does not pay this money.</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">The list goes on.</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">My father is an old man who is highly stressed. He posseses a clean credit record and is a loyal customer of RCS. </span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">I therefore e-mailed RCS requesting the following:</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">A full explanation as to how my father's account balance escalated from around R </span><a style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" href="tel:2 000.00">2 000.00</a><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;"> to R </span><a style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" href="tel:8 000.00">8 000.00</a><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">This explanation must be motivated with full account statements;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">Reasons as to why their call centre agents think they can harass, threaten and intimidate my father;</span><br style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.5;" /><span style="color: #000000; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 21px;">How this problem is to be resolved asap.</span></p> <p>All I got as a reply was them requesting a power of attorney from me. No attempt was made to resolve this issue with my father or myself. In fact he got called by one of the call centre agents today asking him why he did not pay his full installment this month. MY FATHER PAID HIS INSTALLMENT ACCORDING TO HIS BALANCE NOT THE BALANCE THAT RCS MADE UP. Furthermore, RCS has completely ignored this matter and our concerns and have not even attempted to resolve same! They have added an exorbitant amount to my fathers balance of which they can not prove to be his and is now forcing him to pay this amount. This matter will now be reported to the relevant authorities and it is being posted here for other current and future RCS customers to take note of.</p>
