ACCOUNT APPLICATION

I had an account with RCS which I paid up and extremely happy that they assisted me with the ITC update since it was handed over. In September 2015 I then app**** for an RCS loan and it was approved but didn't complete the application because I realized that I needed a card instead. Today I then app**** for the card and it was declined, I then called the RCS group to find out why, since the loan application was approved and a card declined. Spoke to YOLANDA who said its because for the loan it was a promotion that's why it was approved and the I won't be able to apply for a card before 5 years with them. I then explained to her that I wasn't offered an application for a promo but did it online and she said there's nothing she can do about that. I seriously fail to understand how is it possible that one account can be approved and another one declined by the same company because if it was a matter of re applying after 5 years, wouldn't the same rule apply to the loan department as well. Kindly assist!
