9 weeks unresolved and counting

I paid up my outstanding balance on account ending ...226791 in January and requested RCS (cape union mart) to close off my account and send a letter confirming the same. Instead of doing so, I only to received a "paid in full letter" on 06/01/2017.

I have since logged calls requesting CLOSURE LETTER, reference ********** 02302 on 11/01/2017 and told to wait 36 days?????

Then again on 20/02/2017 (41 days afterwards) reference ********** 00578, apparently the account was NOT sent to prep for closure?

Excuses?

I was told to wait 48 hours and I then called back 03/03/2017, i spoke to call centre agent Vuyile ********** 02173 only to be told the account still was not sent to prep for closure but that his supervisor would make sure it was.

Today i called back again, 06/03/2017, spoke to Martenique, reference ********** 00252 who advised that STILL NOTHING DONE but that her supervisor would make sure it goes to prep for closure?

Why must i beg to have an account closed? Calls are recorded, numerous attempts at having this account closed has failed??

Please tell me why?
