RCS *********** Customer Service

Ok, so here goes ..... On the 23rd September 2023, i tried logging onto the RCS app to make a payment into my account. Due to the app technical issues, it refused to open. I then went onto my FNB banking app and selected the RCS public recipient and made a payment of R2000.00.

On 2nd October 2023, I decided to check my balance and had noticed that the amount had not been allocated to my account as I still had the same balance as I did previously .... In fear of my name making it as a defaulter onto the credit bureau, I further made a payment of R400.

I have contacted the RCS customer services, I was told to send through my POP to the *** dept (to which i did) .... 2 days later, I received an email from that dept informing me that they cannot allocate that payment as they would require the account number that the money had been paid into.

After contacting FNB , I was told that seeing that RCS is a public recipient, they cannot give me the account number but the money was paid into the RSC Standard Bank account and they had given me the recipient No.

I then took this back to RCS (Mind you, I cannot get into contact directly with the payments department and had to speak to a customer service agent) .... Explained to them what FNB had explained to me... They said they would escalate.

Today I get an email from the Payments department informing me that they still cannot allocate the money as they require the account number.

They require me to get something called a (Transaction Detail Note) from FNB and forward to them. FNB says there is no such note or letter - I just need to forward RCS my bank statement as it does show a successful payment into the RCS Standard Bank account .... And that RCS needs to contact their standard bank surplus account and get that money allocated to me.

I am now frustrated with the run around and back and forth that I have to do just to get my payment allocated and would require some help on this matter
