HARASSMENT FROM agent
I have received numerous calls from an agent since yesterday, past the point of harassment. The CPA provides consumer protection against harassment, particularly if telemarketers are engaging in excessive, intrusive, or aggressive calling behavior. The CPA prohibits any conduct that would be deemed unconscionable, unreasonable, or unfair.
I spoke to the agent yesterday and told him I am not interested at this time in his insurance offerings. I told him I was in a hurry and couldn't talk, yet he was very insistent that he read the terms and conditions and send me information via email. I told him twice that I wasn't interested. To get him to go away, I said to send the information to my email address, and I would contact RCS if I am interested in the future, to which he responded that he wouldn't take more than 2 minutes to read the terms and conditions. AGAIN. Then he asked when I would be available the next day, to which I rep****, I'm not sure as I'm often busy and that if I don't answer, I'm busy. LOOK HOW MANY TIMES HE HAS CALLED. While I was REJECTING the calls and trying to screenshot the call history, HE CALLED TWICE.
That call was recorded. Feel free to listen to it. You can tell from my tone from the beginning that I'm not interested.
This is EXCESSIVE AND AGGRESSIVE. Not to mention intrusive. I want to take this further. Please escalate this. This is a clear violation of my rights as a consumer. I stated on the call I'M NOT INTERESTED. That should have been the end of it. If he's doing it to me, he's doing it to other customers. This is completely unacceptable. 17 calls in 24 hours? HARASSMENT.
