Shocking Service

Where do I start? Well the problems started before we even moved in. Rented a brand new house in Du Vin Estate, Raslouw, Centurion. Several issues when we moved in, which included no electricity for 4 days. Grass and garden in a state, no curtain reels, house dirty, etc, etc, etc. Eventually power gets connected, but then it trips the whole time. Took another week to get that sorted out. In the 8 months we stayed in the house, i don't think there was a month we didn't have an issue. The best part was when we moved out. They say they have a 21 day period in which to pay the deposit back. After 22 days they tell us that they need to repaint the inside due to spots on the wall where we hung pictures. I repaired and painted the areas they referred to and you could barely see the marks. Gave me a quote for R9500.00 to repaint. What a joke. I bought the paint myself and got a painter to paint for me. Total cost of R1500 to repaint the walls that were an issue. Then they still had the audacity to complain that the house wasn't clean after we finished painting. Really!! I even sent them all the emails that we sent after we moved in reminding them about the state of the place when we moved in. After all the reviews I have read on Hello Peter, I can only confirm that RCM Letting are a bunch of ******* artists and will do anything to keep your deposit. I would rather sleep in the street than rent a property from them. Absolutely shocking and dispeakable service. You can't complain about their service, because there isn't any! DON'T RENT FROM THEM! You have been warned!!!
