Lack of customer service, Hobby & Tech in Table Bay Mall

Fellow consumers, I would like to share my unpleasant experience at the Hobby & Tech Store in Table Bay Mall, Milnerton. I needed a new IPAD fast charger cable and purchased one from the store at R200. In less than 2 weeks the pin end of the cable that goes into the IPAD totally and cleanly separated from the cable. When I took it back to the store, I was told that this was because the cable was not well looked after, and it was not the product. After some discussion the cable was replaced with another one from the same supplier. Within 2 weeks the same happened, we returned to the store and pointed out that both cables lasted no more than 2 weeks and were obviously inferior - we did not want a replacement but a refund. They flatly refused to give a refund and said there was no warranty on the cable. The managers demeaner was one of arrogance and we declined the cable replacement and lost R200. I decided to not give him a false sense of customer support and rather report this on this forum so other consumers are made aware of the lack of customer service at this store. If anyone else has a similar experience it will be great to know.
